September, 2017 - Hillsborough Massage Therapy Newsletter

YAM’s for Health – By now most schools and fall activities have begun and In recognition of the special needs of young athletes and their parents, we offer a special 45-minute session at a reduced cost of $55.  We call it the Young Athlete Massage (YAM).

We can schedule sessions around busy schedules seven days per week.  Most techniques can be accomplished with the athlete in sports attire (shorts, sports top).  Our licensed therapists have years of experience working with athletes of all levels and ages.

Muscles used for the athlete's particular sport will be focused on, including stretching techniques to keep muscles at optimum health.

Regular therapeutic massage at Hillsborough Massage Therapy will help keep young athletes ready for their sport. Easy scheduling via Schedulicity online or call us!

Gary’s Status - We noted in a special blog last month that Gary injured his back while in Lake Placid. He’s now had an MRI that confirmed he “broke his back,” or more specifically, he fractured vertebrae L2 (mid back) when he took a hard fall on packed sand.  He has another doctor appointment this month and will be able to give an estimated “return date” after that.  He can be seen around the office catching up on paperwork.  He’s also OK to walk a few miles each day.  Stay tuned!

Sourlands Spectacular – Our friends at the Sourlands Conservancy sponsor a special “Ride the Road to Save the Mountain” bike ride.  Routes range from 23 to 63 miles, all with considerable climbing.  This year there is a special flat route (5 miles) for families and those who want to skip the mountains.  Fabulous picnic lunch and brownie sundaes are included!  The Sourlands Spectacular is scheduled for Saturday, September 9th.

In a nutshell......

-       Jackson is now three years old and started pre-school this month.  He actually ran to get in the door the first day!  He has become totally acclimated to his latest prosthesis.

-       Lisa’s planned September cruise in the Caribbean was (obviously) postponed.  She will be “beaching in Belmar,” weather permitting.

-       Busy, Busy, Busy.  This describes Kathy’s summer perfectly!  We hardly saw her around the office because she was massaging so much!

-       Pauline was not seen much, either. She spent lots of time in Cape May while also squeezing in a trip to Washington, DC.
